There’s nothing contentious about our hospitality. With friendly local service, our Kitchen offers a warm welcome all year round. From epic lunches to Friday night specials, our Chef makes sure the food served in our kitchen is every bit as interesting as the wines behind our cellar door.

Cellar Door Tasting

You won’t find any better for a Canberra wine tasting. There’s a Contentious Character wine to suit everyone.

Contentious Character vintages commenced in 2015 and are a cool-climate, new world twist on old world styles.

Our Founder’s Museum and Founder’s Reserve wines are quality old vine Lambert wines from deep within the cellar. A variety of vintages and varietals, they’ve been lying low for a few years and have developed an exceptionally mature, mellow character.

Let us come to you, so you can sit back, enjoy a glass of wine while dining on our sumptuous array of kitchen treats.

We’re serving up some serious comfort food for dinner over Thursday to Sunday (5pm-8.30pm) and lunch over Saturday to Sunday (12pm-3pm).

Choose from our Chef's famous Korean pork stew, prawn or vegetarian tofu laksa, beef stroganoff, all the wood-fired pizza you could want and more. Add on dessert and wine (of course) and meals in at home have never looked so good.
